JAAD's Bad King powerfully explores the dilemmas that shape our lives, reinterpreting Dragon Ball Z 's iconic antagonist Frieza as a king caught in the whirlwind of his own choices. Through this work, JAAD transcends the boundaries of pop culture to immerse us in a universal reflection on power, decisions, and their consequences.

At the heart of the composition, a question resonates: "Which One Would You Choose?" . As a direct echo of the iconic scene from The Matrix , where we must choose between the red pill and the blue pill, Freezer holds out his arms, confronting us with this moment of change. The red pill, for brutal truth, knowledge and responsibility. The blue pill, for the comfort of ignorance and the illusion of control. Freezer, in all his complexity, becomes here a metaphorical figure, a cynical guide or perhaps a silent judge in the face of our own hesitations.

JAAD doesn’t just ask the question. It makes it the center of a visual chaos, where every detail seems to scream the tension between choice and consequence. Frieza’s red crown wavers, a symbol of a reign both affirmed and contested. Scrawled words like “I am not a bad guy” and “Respect Mr. Frieza” add layers of complexity, blurring the lines between good and evil, strength and fragility.
